Asia-Pacific Economic Corporation Biomedical Technology Commercialization Training Center
Triage and Licensing
July 12-13, 2018
I am very fortunate to have been invited to participate in this program by AUTM for the Asia-Pacific Economic Corporation Biomedical Technology Commercialization Training Center. The program is held a few times a year on various topics related to technology transfer at different sites within the member countries of APEC. This program was held in Bangkok, Thailand and had participants from Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, Sweden, and the US. My co-presenter on this program was Joe Janda, Director, Innovation & Intellectual Property at Portland State University, and fellow committee member on the AUTM Essentials Committee. Over two days we covered a variety of topics related to technology transfer triage and licensing. I’ve included the program outline below. If you are interested in any of the presentations from this event, please contact me at email@example.com. Additionally, if you are interested in engaging with AUTM to bring this kind of technology transfer training to you, please reach out and I will connect you with the right person based on your situation. I would also encourage you to become a member of AUTM and take advantage of the myriad of resources available through their website.
I would also like to acknowledge the efforts of the Thailand Center of Excellence for Life Sciences (TCELS) for hosting the program and handling all the arrangements. Their staff was extremely gracious and wonderful to work with – so I hope to be back soon!
